Hopefully you have all been enjoying the beautiful weather following the weekend snow shower! You just never know what March in Kansas will bring to us. We have been able to return outside and play on the livening grass, draw with sidewalk chalk, and breathe in fresh air. This week has been a lot of fun for us! We continue to discover God's creation story, and are working on the following verse: "In the beginning, God created...and it was good!" The kids love giving the thumbs up as we describe the creation of light, land, water, sky, and now birds as "Good!" We have been working on a class picture of creation and will display that once all the days have been covered (and the paper doesn't have any room left on it!).
The letter K was introduced this week, naming off kittens, kites, keys, and kangaroos as beginning with the letter K. We glued pictures of keys on the letter K, practiced identifying the letter K, and will have the opportunity to share something that starts with letter K next week.
Some of our friends brought the letter J to share this week, and it's always fun to see the creativity in their choices. Also as part of our day, we practiced patience and listening skills by playing a game with instruments, painted ladybugs, stamped birds, made a kite, and reviewed our numbers and counting, 1-10. Overall a fun week in the 2-3s room!
