Will discovered the microphone and decided to rock out to "Days of the Week" in a fabulous performance. Hopefully this inspires everyone for Graduation Night!

...and now a video starring Will
Jesus is Risen!
We focused last week on the death of Jesus following his Last Supper with his disciples, but celebrated this week Jesus' resurrection and his power over death. The main points emphasized: Jesus didn't do anything wrong, bad people that didn't like Jesus made him die on a cross, Jesus died because he loves us and to clean our hearts when we make bad choices, and after three days Jesus was alive! He is still alive in heaven and waiting for us.
Using the resurrection eggs to help tell this story, I was amazed by the focus some students had while listening to what happened to Jesus. We sang "Jesus Loves Me" and thanked God for Jesus following Bible lesson, and it's difficult to find a purer group of souls to praise with. Thanks for your wonderful children and their hearts for our Lord!
Academically we continue to introduce letters and review numbers 1-10, and practice name identification. Our previous placemats emphasized the first letter in each name, but our new ones make all letters equally distinguishable for an added challenge in figuring out which place belongs to each child. They are doing so well...put out several names on a table and most of your kids will be able to tell you which is their name! I am so proud of their enthusiastic learning :)
